Cherry jolly ranchers taste wonderful, like apple candy, but suffer from mistaken identity. Cherry-medicine candy it is not, yet the people recklessly slander its flavor.

Photographer Robin Schwartz has been photographing her daughter, Amelia, now thirteen, in the company of animals for over a decade. Amelia, Robin says, is a natural; however, her daughter favors certain critters over others. According to a March 2012 New York Times feature, “She says she connects with most of the animals, though admits the spark just wasn’t there with a sloth.”

Once, KM and I made a kite out of a trash bag and a pair of chopsticks (it was probably an Asian-themed day at the dhall). We flew the kite in Cambridge Common, and it was one of the happiest days of my life. (via Make Your Own Kite on The Etsy Blog)
